JELLYFISH IN DAVID POND

People have started to report what look like small jellyfish in the northern section of David Pond.  Apparently it’s a thing!  They are too small to sting humans, according to an article on the Maine DEP site, taken from “Maine Fish and Game” Magazine, Spring 1963.  So, apparently it’s nothing new.  Once in a while they appear in abundance, only to subsequently disappear.

PROGRESS ON THE SANDY RIVER CULVERT

Here are some photos of the project to build a new culvert by the old mill pond on Sandy River Rd.  As of 10-5-2020 the road is now open.
